Madison first found Pilates amidst a career-threatening injury, bulging disc and inflamed SI joint, during her dance training in the UK. After a few months of the work, she returned to dance with an expanded sense of bodily awareness, strength, and inner confidence. Pilates prepared her body for not only the rigorous demands of concert dance, but also for daily, pain-free living. Maddy is a certified Classical Pilates instructor receiving her training from Jill Casady and utilizes her dance/art background by involving imagery, somatic release practices, and dynamic breath in her sessions. She believes these principles, coupled with a relational approach to the work, gives a full bodied, highly restorative experience for her clients.
