At a very young age Michele was unknowingly committed to a life of physical fitness; from tumbling and ballet classes at the age of 4, followed by years of gymnastics, dance, soccer, and cheer. In high school she led cheer, dance, and tumbling camps at the local YMCA. Eventually she involved herself in teaching “aerobics” and was a dancer/cheerleader for the NBA Milwaukee Bucks Energee! Dance team for several years. Michele has always been fascinated with the human body—its anatomy, its kinesiology, and its movement patterns. It wasn’t until Michele moved to Houston in 1998 and found a gym that taught Pilates and yoga classes that she begin her practice in the two by taking classes from others. In 2001 she began certifications in both Pilates and yoga. Her initial Pilates Mat and Reformer certifications are with Michael King of Pilates Institute London (formally with the Houston Ballet) and continuing education with Stott Pilates, Peak Pilates, Physical Mind, and BASI. She also took muscle activation technique training and stretch to win certifications in 2007 to add much needed assisted stretch therapy to her clients. Her first yoga teacher was Robert Boustany in Hatha yoga. After years of teaching and finding her own method and style she sought further education with John Friend (former Anusara yoga) and Baron Baptiste (Power Vinyasa Yoga). She continues to grow and learn in her own personal developments every day, and loves seeing what the two disciplines bring to those she meets and teaches. Always a student of others, forever a learner, she looks forward these skills every day. She brings the love of physical movement principles to everyone, young and old. "I see positive and powerful changes in each of them. I believe each of us has the ability to be happy, loving and carefree!” Michele has a background in teaching Pumped Up Pilates Mat, Yoga for Athletes, Cardio PiYo, Pilates Circuit, Barre Redefined, Pilates Athletic Conditioning (Jumpboard) Circuit, TRX HIIT, Restorative Yoga and Intro to Pilates Circuit. stretch therapy, barre, pilates, prenatal pilates, yoga and booty camp. In her free time she likes to garden and landscape, play with her two dogs Barney and Pax, and travel.
